Implementing an Effective Drainage Solution

CS Plumbing developed and installed a gravity-fed French drain system specifically designed to capture and redirect water before it could compromise the home’s foundation.

This project incorporated several crucial components:

A French drain system meticulously crafted to collect surface and subsurface water from neighbouring properties, directing it through gravity to a concrete pit.
A 100mm PVC pipe extending from the pit to the curb, featuring strategically drilled holes to ensure efficient water discharge.
Three new, larger-diameter Colorbond metal downpipes replaced the original smaller pipes, linked to new 100mm PVC piping leading to the curb.
A retaining wall system constructed along the boundary, using concrete sleepers and galvanised steel posts, with auger holes drilled by an excavator to provide a sturdy barrier to contain the adjacent yard.
Efficient soil removal on-site, managed by a dumper for streamlined operations.
